Dedicated to Serving Our Community Safely

At East County Fire Protection District, we put the safety and well-being of Cape Girardeau County residents first. Located on the east side of Cape Girardeau County along the Mississippi River, our three strategically positioned fire stations provide rapid fire and EMS first responder coverage across our 72-square-mile service area. Our dedicated volunteers operate 15 pieces of modern firefighting apparatus and respond as medical first responders, ensuring prompt care during fires, accidents, and medical emergencies. We are also deeply committed to fire and life safety education and community outreach, partnering with residents, schools, and local organizations to build a safer community for everyone.
